On “The CW”, there is a show known as Beauty and the Geek. This television show has been advertised as being “the ultimate social experiment” and it is produced by Jason Goldberg, Ashton Kutcher, and Nick Santora. The premise of Beauty and the Geek consists of a selection of “beauties” which are young women that are extremely sexy and a selection of “geeks” which are young men that have primarily relied on intellect and are basically socially inept. These groups of beauties and geeks are paired up in pairs to compete as couples to share the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars as well as other prizes. During the fourth season of Beauty and the Geek, the producers of the television show took the time to modify the formula so that it would include one extra team that consisted of a female geek and a male beauty. During the complete course of the competition, each beauty will live along with her geek in one room.
Each episode consists of different challenges, one that will be testing the beauties of there knowledge of academics and one testing the geeks on a more social/popular realm. The winners of each challenge will select a total of two different teams that will compete against each other in a type of pure “quiz show” that will be a question and answer session, the team that has the fewest number of questions answered correct will be eliminated. Once the end of the competition has come to past, there are many of the contestants that are able to say that they have learned a whole lot about interacting with different people that are from a different social group. They also say that they learnt positive things about themselves and stuff about their character.
“Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money)” written and performed by the Pet Shop Boys is the theme song. After the second season was completed, the American version of Beauty and the Geek moved to the CW television network. Overall, there are many people all over the world that love to watch the show and there are many people all around the world that would love to be on the show if given the opportunity to do so. The best thing about this show is that it teaches people to take people for what they are on the inside and not what they are on the outside. You can be as sexy as a Playboy Bunny and still be dumb as a brick or you can be as ugly as Freddy on a bad night and have the highest IQ in the world.
The point that is made by this show is that everyone has their own special qualities and no one is better than the next person. Everyone is created equally and we should think God that we were made different from one another because of we were all made the same, the world wouldn’t have any creativity. Overall, if you think that you are better than someone else or if you don’t think that you are worth the time of day, you should watch Beauty and the Geek.
