Those looking for a good time in Memphis will be excited to know the schedule for 2008’s Memphis in May International Festival has been released. And, the lineup is outstanding to say the least.
The likes of Sheryl Crow, My Chemical Romance, and even Aretha Franklin will lend their voices to the celebration. And, with such great voices what a celebration it will be! Music selections from artists will range from bluegrass and rock ’n roll to country and hip hop. There will certainly be something for everyone at the Memphis in May Festival no matter what their music preference. Other amazing artists who will be on stage include Santana, Michael McDonald, Fergie and many more popular singers.
This year the music festival during Memphis in May focuses on Turkey. Each year a different country is in the spotlight and with Turkey being the 2008 choice some cool Turkish bands will play and headline the festival.
These singers will appear at the Beal Street Music Festival, which occurs during the Memphis in May International Festival and is basically three days of lots of amazing music. There are four stages right on the Mississippi River’s banks where headliner musicians take the stage and really put on a show. The dates for the Beal Street Music Festival are May 2-4.
