In a previous post I stated how retailers do to rip you off, but now I will provide some tips on how to counter that.

-When handing your card to someone always keep an eye on what they do with it.

-If they do something with your card under the counter ask them to explain themselves. Call the manager if needed. People likeĀ  this will be let off if you don’t get them red handed.

-Never place your card somewhere without your presence.

-When getting your card back after it getting swiped. Double check for substitutes. If it isn’t yours don’t accept apologies, most criminals always make excuses. Report to police.

-If your card is double swiped ask the person why so and call the manager if it’s not unacceptable answer. Always tell them it’s for security reasons.

-You should be careful with any paper containing valid information about your accounts etc.. Useful thing to do is shred it.

-A very bad thing to happen would be, is getting tricked when your abroad in another country. You wouldn’t realize it until you come back home and see the purchases you never made.
