All criminals (thieves) have one intention, money. Most of the time they might steal an item, such as an Camera or a bigger object like a TV, at sell it to make money. But they will prefer to just take the money straight off, it’s a better prize and takes less effort then trying to find a dealer to sell the stolen merchandise to.

Credit Card Frauds

We only hear about the frauds when it happens to lots of people by the same thief or when very large sums were stolen.. As large as 863 million dollars in UK alone, has been stolen by frauds, which is around 500 million pounds. With 63 million credit card in use there, that amount is astonishing. Even if the government is trying to reduce this, you need to do your part cause even if you have the most secure debit system, but are careless you will get ripped off.  With around 63.4 million pounds disappearing each year, British citizens mustn’t feel really safe with credit cards.

What Can you Do?

Here are few steps you can do to reduce the risk. I said reduce because anything can happen but normally if you do most of this you shouldn’t worry.

-Keep track of your cards and never leave them unattended.

-Never keep your cards in a dossier with all your identification information cause if the thief gets both he can prove he is you.

-If you ordered a card and it doesn’t come when its due, call the company. Also cut your old card, generally good to have the least cards as possible.

-If you lost your card don’t wait, call the company straight ahead. Cause if you wait it may be too late.

-Never write pin numbers and if you do never keep both together.

-When I first said  keep your cards always with you, lets get it clear, if your going to help your neighbor paint his house, why the hell would you bring your credit card. I mean keeping it with you  if your leaving your home for a long period of time, trips, work etc..
