How to prevent theft?

Criminals are always finding different methods of taking your cash. Here are some lesser known ones lots of people get caught by.

Receipt Method

When going to ATM machines, some machines ask for your preference, if you want a receipt but some don’t ask and print straight away. If you don’t notice this and leave after using the machine someone might use the receipt and use the important information on it. They could know how much you have in your balance and how much you withdrew.

How To avoid this ?

-There are two straightforward ways, one is taking the statements with you and keeping them in your documents at a safe place.

-Or just shredding them and avoid a criminal getting his hands on it.

Fake Calls

These are bogus calls made by criminals in attempt to get information out of you. They call and they say that they are doing a survey or some kind of check. They will ask for your name, pin number, mothers name and few random questions to make it seem legit. After you go through all of this, they will say it’s for your own  good. With 1 call they have enough information to open several other accounts by your name.

How To avoid this?

-No matter who they say their are, be wary with the information you give away on the phone.

-If it is a real call they won’t ask that kind of information since it is of no use to them.

-If they call you, and seem dishonest ask them for your work’s number or  some other question your bank would know.

That is just a few ways thieves might plot against you, always be wary, is the best advice.
