The Beatles performed the song, Across the Universe, when they first made their appearance on some sort of charity release during December of nineteen sixty nine. Their last album, Let It Be, also had a modified form on this song on it. Across the Universe, features John Lennon as the lead singer. John Lennon was also known as the primary composer even though, all of the songs that the Beatles perform are written by either one of the composers, and this song is credited to McCartney/Lennon.
The Composition of Jai Guru Deva Om
One night during nineteen sixty seven, Lennon thought of the phrase, after having to sit and listen to his wife then, Cynthia ranting over and over again about something. Lennon noted that later on that night after his wife had went to sleep, he kept hearing the words repeat over and over in his head flowing like some sort of endless stream. It was at this time that Lennon when downstairs and then it turned into some sort of cosmic song. Later, he began jotting down the rest of the lyrics to the song and once they were completed, he went on to bed and totally forgot about them.
The next morning, Lennon located the paper that he had written all of the lyrics on and he took them down and places them on his piano, this is when he began to play the chords and find the right pitches to flow with the words. The flavor of this particular song was influenced heavily by the Beatles and Lennon’s short lived interest in what is known as Transcendental Meditation which took place during the late part of nineteen sixty seven and the early part of nineteen sixty eight, which was when the song was composed. It was based on this unforgotten love that he added to the piece, mantra style Jai guru deva Om, this became the link to the chorus.
The Importance of Jai Guru Deva Om
The people that lived during the Beatle Age were truly given an experience that they will never forget. The Beatles were really good singers and they were well known for their talented work during their time as well as during today’s time. There isn’t any other singer in the world that receives the praise and honor that the Beatles do. However, when you are giving all of that praise, you are going to need to make sure that you give praise where praise is due. There are a lot of people that are involved in the creation of a song and without all of those people; the song wouldn’t have the meaning that it does today.
In order to write a song, you have to visualize the words that you are thinking, you have to put emphasis on the way that those words make you feel and put them together in a way that will touch each individual’s heart that listens to it. Jai Guru Deva Om brings out the inner being in every individual that listens to it.
