A seemingly normal woman by the name of Elizabeth Harrison has been arrested in Maryland for running a bordello out of her apartment.  The woman, who is 35, is known to her customers as “Magical Lizzy” and according to the reports of her neighbors has an extensive and regular clientele.  Harrison appears to be an upstanding citizen and residents of the same apartment complex were curious about what was going on since both men and women were seen leaving the apartment at all hours of the day and night.  Many residents thought perhaps drugs were being dealt, but no one ever thought for a moment that a bordello was being run out of the home or that Miss Harrison was also known as Magical Lizzy! Neighbors finally complained about the strange and consistent comings and goings and through some investigative work police found that Harrison was marketing sexual services on the internet through many forums under the name of Magical Lizzy.  An undercover officer was solicited for sex acts and this led to the arrest of Harrison as well as a raid on her home.  Magical Lizzy was arrested and charged with four charges of receiving money from prostitutes with the intent of promoting and profiting from a crime.  Reports indicate that these charges are a felony, but are not specific as to the degree of the offense. 

The police raided Magical Lizzy’s home and realized through evidence found in the apartment that she was running the bordello right out of her apartment on the 3400 block of Holly Creek Drive.  It appears, at least for now, that the reign of Magical Lizzy is over but it   remains to be seen what will happen to her employees.  Police say that Harrison is the only one who has been arrested so far, though the women that worked for Magical Lizzy are being investigated to determine their part in the crimes.   

Of course, this case has a lot of people thinking back to Heidi Fleiss who was a very successful operator of her own brothel.  She was also brought down by the cops and it was revealed that she had extensive and high profile clientele.  There has been no word as of yet if Magical Lizzy and her “staff” serviced anyone of import.  More information is likely to surface about the extent of her clientele as well as any names. 

It will be interesting to see how prosecutors handle this case as it has the attention of people from all over the country.  Authorities in most regions of the country have a no tolerance approach to these businesses.  What is not known is what sort of punishment these charges will bring on Harrison.  Depending on her record, she may not even spend any time in jail; she could simply be looking at some community service and probation, though if she violated the condition of probation she would likely spend time behind bars. How successful she is staying out of prison will depend on just how magical the lawyers of Magical Lizzy are!
