Some Great Ways To Hide Keys
Many people get that annoying feeling at least once in their lives. Forgetting your keys, it happens to you or your family. So you try to prevent it by placing it somewhere outside the house. This way everyone who forgets the key will get in, right… No not just a family member who has forgetten the keys, but someone who wants to break in your house too.
Most criminals, before trying to break into the house will search for hidden keys. Under the gnome statue infront of the door, under the front door mat, inside the mail bo, under the flower pot. None of those are safe places to keep a key that could open your entire life to an stranger. You have to be as smart as the criminal, if not smarter. Those who try to rob a house, don’t just walkabout and pick an house randomly , come at night and try their very best to rob you. No, if they think of your house as a decent target they will study it a bit. If they notice people coming and looking under the mat, they will probably know there is a hidden key somewhere down there. Specially if it is your little kid who comes home everyday and uses that key.. The criminal will have seen him several times a week.
Earlier, I said you have to be smarter then these thieves. Not all of them are drunk idiots, those who do it with pure intend, will look for these secure places to hide keys. Thats why I am not going to tell you to place it outside somewhere. Don’t even try buying those ripoff products that are suppose to be placed outside your house to secure your key. Most criminals probably own each of those and will be looking for them.
Advice
-First one is simple…DON’T HIDE KEYS OUTSIDE
-If you really are the type to forget your keys often, give one to a very close friend, relative, close as in close in proximity and your relation with them.
-Also bear in mind if the key holders are really trustworthy, if they are, think about their children who might not be as trustworthy as them.
