1.    Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake called it quits after nearly four years together! Diaz, 34, is nine years older than her ex boyfriend, and many were surprised that the couple lasted so long, especially since her had dated mostly her fellow actors before Timberlake. Still, the break up came as a surprise because Diaz had been spotted wearing what looked suspiciously like an engagement ring not too long ago!

2.    Sometimes nothing beats the nasty stuff that couples say about each other post breaking up! Kate Moss dumped Peter Doherty for his drug habit and has been pretty vocal about insisting that she wishes she had never met him. And this from someone who has been publicly exposed as a cocaine user herself! They’ve broken up before, though, so this could be a pseudo break up as well!

3.    Robin Wright and Sean Penn—that’s probably not a surprise since many wondered what she ever saw in that loser in the first place! But they actually lasted eleven years—wow, not bad!

4.    Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson—apparently, rumor has it that Manson found out from the newspaper that his relationship was breaking up! Now if that’s not called being asleep while your house is burning down, we don’t know what is. Manson’s strip dancer wife claimed that she wanted out of the one year marriage because he was messed up. Umm… didn’t she know that before?!

5.    Richie Sambora and Denise Richards. Gasp! How has this squeaky clean rock star come to this? For many who grew up listening to Bon Jovi, the band has signified good guys who marry their high school sweethearts and live happily ever after—guess Richie thinks it’s never too late to get to be a bad boy! The break up seems both sad and amicable both—Richie’s dad died recently of cancer and Denise’s mom suffers from the same disease, and the former couple have been helping each other deal with their parent’s illnesses.

6.    The ravishing Kate Hudson broke it off with actor boyfriend Owen Wilson—another celebrity relationship gone down the drain! The couple, who’d initially gotten cosy in the sets of You, Me and Dupree, are apparently still friends and plan to remain so. How’s that to give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside? There are still break ups in celebrity ville that aren’t nasty!

7.    Bigtime wrestler Hulk Hogan’s wife demanded a divorce in 2007 as well. All the marriage counseling sessions Mr and Mrs Hogan attended couldn’t save the relationship from going on the rocks, it seems.

8.    After gushing about each other all over the media, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams confirmed that they had ended their relationship. The star pair had caught the imaginations of fans the world over after their dream romance following The Notebook. Ah well—guess tinsel town is not fairyland after all!

9.    Hollywood’s sweetheart Drew Barrymore was another celeb to see a relationship go down the drain in 2007, breaking up with drummer boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti yet again! The couple have already broken up twice during the course of their five year relationship—this time it seems to be for good!

10.    P. Diddy and Kim Porter called it quits—while their twin babies were just six months old! Porter made a tough decision while still pregnant, when she found out about Diddy’s secret love child with another woman. Porter’s one tough woman, say we!
